The museum gives you chance to have better understanding of the earth's history and evolution of organisms.
It exhibits creatures on the evolution table by geographical age, which can be grouped into four eras: the Precambrian, Paleozoic, Mesozoic, and Cenozoic eras. You can learn about the lives of organisms with large-scale 3D chronological charts.
Blue whale fossils from Mesozoic and Cenozoic eras are displayed in the museum. Total six fossils are exhibited; one of them has eight meters long perfect remains and other five have partial ones.
It is very rare that many whale fossils are found in one location. Remains were discovered while developing land for housing in Pohang-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do
