Haeamjeong is a pavilion built by Sim Dongro, the father of Sim family for teaching young students after resignation.
It was first established in Goryeo Dynasty (1361), and rebuilt in Joseon Dynasty (1530) by Sim Eongwang.
Sim Dongro were opposed to corrupt politicians striving to right the wrongs, but after all went back home. The King bestowed the first name Dongro meaning an old man towering east as he allowed him to leave the government.It is a sing story building with hipped-and-gabled roof and 3 front, and 2 side rooms. Three sides beside the front one are opened to the public.
