This statue is a restored Iron Seated Buddha in Daeungjeon (main sanctuary of a temple), Samhwa Temple.

The head looks like shell-shaped hair attached on the round face. It gives a feeling of the work of the unified Silla age.

The regular-featured face adds fine look to the statue. Its pleated clothes wrap the shoulders with belt and knots. The right hand is raised up with the palms turned out and the left down with the palm turned out.

During the restoring process, 10lines and 161 words were founded on the right side of the back. And the word ‘Nosanabul' was founded twice among the words, hinting the name of the statue.According to the Avatamska Sutra, Buddha's Statues were constructed in the late unified Silla age and the early Goryeo.

The words of the statue can be a historical material to research Korean language of that time, since the words have a new order of word transformed from Yido style.
